Indianapolis Porcelain Veneers
If your teeth are chipped, worn, or crooked, you can get your smile transformed in as few as two visits. Dr. Julia Shalit creates beautiful smile makeovers with porcelain veneers.
What Are Porcelain Veneers?
They are very thin layers of porcelain that are bonded to the front of your teeth. In addition to correcting teeth that are worn, chipped, or crooked, they can close gaps and cover tetracycline stains. While orthodontic treatment straightens teeth in one to three years, veneers are an alternative that brings fast results.
What To Expect During Your Visits
Your teeth will be examined and x-rayed. Dr. Shalit will listen to you to determine what you want in a smile. She’ll show you pictures of beautiful smile designs that she has created to help you determine what you want to see in your smile. You’ll decide what shape and color you want your teeth to be. Do you want a warm and soft smile, or a smile that is bold? All of these factors will be considered for your smile makeover.
At times, no preparation of your natural teeth is required. But if it’s found that your new smile will look bulky without any preparation, your teeth will be very lightly shaved.
Your input and Dr. Shalit’s training and experience will be used to create temporary veneers for you. When you’re delighted with the look of the temporaries and have no reservations about them, Dr. Shalit will send impressions of them to our master ceramist who will make your permanent veneers.
You’ll try the veneers in with a try-in paste. You’ll be able to see how they look and feel. If you have any reservations, Dr. Shalit will send them back to our ceramist for the changes you requested, or to re-make them entirely.
When you absolutely love your smile makeover, the veneers will be permanently bonded to your teeth. And you can be confident that you will love them. In Indianapolis, Dr. Shalit is a dentist who has a beautiful smile guarantee for porcelain veneers.
Dr. Shalit has received post-graduate training in cosmetic dentistry and in the use of porcelain veneers to transform smiles. She is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
