Reasons to See an Emergency Dentist

A lingering toothache is most often caused by an infection. And an infection in your tooth will continue to spread until it’s treated. The pulp of the tooth will need to be thoroughly cleaned out, and the entire tooth must be filled with a sealer material. This procedure is known as a root canal treatment. It’s unlikely that you’ll receive the treatment today, but we will get you out of pain.

Even if your severe toothache seems to start feeling better, it usually means that the pulp of the tooth has died, and the bone is now infected. It’s likely that you still have an infection that needs to be removed so it won’t keep spreading.

If your tooth is cracked, broken, or if a filling has fallen out, the sooner you get help, the easier it will be to treat it. And you’ll be less likely to experience pain after the treatment.

Don’t worry if you’ve put off getting help. You’ll find your experience at our office to be much like one of our patients described it:

“Five star experience. Professional, kind and very skilled as well. Completely patient focused. Great group. I was not an easy patient and they were all great. Can’t recommend this team highly enough!” – Jane Jones
